Curtis Connors, a gifted surgeon, lost his arm in a battlefield explosion. He became obsessed with the biology of reptilian limp regeneration and eventually developed an experimental serum taken from reptile DNA that succeeded in growing his arm back. This miracle cure also had an unfortunate side effect, transforming him into a monstrous creature known as The Lizard. He would go on to become one of Spiderman’s most notorious arch villains.
